I have visited Buffet City two times. Once last year and once yesterday. I visit the area annually. This restaurant meets my expectations I have of Chinese buffets. I mean typically the goal is to get a lot of food and variety for cheap. If that's not your goal then maybe you should go elsewhere. I believe we paid $10.99 (evening price). I had no trouble getting my money's worth. Food seems fresh and turned over quickly as the place was busy. Our waitress was quick to refill drinks and clear plates. Evening buffet had plenty of seafood. Gourmet food? NO Quick, easy, cheap, decent? YES

This restaurant was a lot better when it first opened, but then again, aren't they all? It's your typical chinese buffet with a mongolian grill, sushi bar, salad bar, dessert bar, and of course the american and asian bars. I give this restaurant 3 stars because it'll cure your chinese craving, however, the flavor isn't all that great. Most of the food taste like they were sitting out too long or as though they've been reheated. The cooks at the mongolian grill aren't very happy. The restaurant is fairly clean but I've tripped over various rugs throughout the restaurant numerous times. The past two times we've come here, our drink orders were wrong. On the plus side, the sushi is made fresh so I recommend it but I usually stick with the cooked sushi, I haven't tried the raw fish.

Not much to say except that Buffet City is the blandest buffet on record. Interior consists of plain, dirtyish white walls with a minimum of trim. Food is ok in that out of the box and onto the buffet way the worst Chinese buffets offer. I just felt uneasy eating here and was happy to leave. Check please!

We like it, it's not our favorite, but it's good enough and alot better than the majority throughout central florida

Very disappointed. Only 8 people in the entire place. This buffet used to be PACKED! Lo Main tasted stale, chicken was overcooked and desserts were stale. Noticed a lot of people leaving and not eating what they got. Won't be going back.

Wow, in a very bad way. I have never eaten at a restaurant before where I never left a tip for the server especially since I was in the restaurant business myself. I have to leave at least one star to post this review or it would be 0. Where do I start? How about we were there at 8:00pm and they are open till 10:00pm and half the food was empty and not being refilled. Most of what food was out was actually something different than what the wording on the glass said it was. The fried shrimp was raw inside and the pork dumpling was still very raw inside. Nobody was at the hibachi and the ice cream had no cones, bowls or any toppings. Where the toppings were supposed to be they were just metal containers. You could hear all the people complaining getting food and everyone working there was just ignoring them. As I was staring into my empty drink for quite a while as my server was off to the side complaining to another employee about the customers being rude I finally decided to say something. I let her know about the raw food found and asked why half the food on the buffet was empty. She said nothing, looked and walked away like she didn't even care. Next she brought our bill, full price $24.00 for two people and said: "talk to a manager", like I was supposed to find one myself, so I did. I walked up to the register and asked for the manager. The young boy there said: "there is no manager here ever." He then said: "We call them if we have to on the phone." Wow, I believe he was the manager and didnt want to talk about it because he immediately started defending his food about it being raw. He explained to me it was imitation shrimp for the fried shrimp which is why it took that color. He must think I'm an idiot and not know the difference. It had a vein and it was see thru. Imitation shrimp don't have a vein and is just fish with an opaque color not see thru when it is raw.I had enough and told him Thank you very much, we won't be back. Wow, is all I can say, just wow.

Just your usual Chinese Buffet, nothing special. Food was cold and several customers including myself complained. They did turn the steam tables up. I did notice at one steam table that it had that rotten funky moldy smell (table with chicken fingers). This odor kinda made me gag a little. Needless to say I lost my appetite for fear of possibly getting sick later. We went because they had advertised Under New Management and that there was a possibility it had improved. Strange ..... They were the same people that were there a year ago. So you know I gave 1 star in order to leave this review. We will NOT be going back.

Very misleading rude management! Disappointed with service. Entering location customer approved coupon, but when paying the bill it was refused. Misleading. Nothing special about buffet, and lost customer! Not very well managed

Good variety of food, quality was good and somewhat fresh since there was frequent turnover and new stuff being brought out because there was a decent number of customers in the restaurant, even at 3pm in the afternoon on a weekday when I went. Nothing too out of ordinary, the place has your basic chinese buffet items, has decent sushi for a buffet. The bathroom, table, floors seemed cleaned to me. The price is good for the variety of food you can get, especially if you go for lunch. The service is ok. They clear the dishes everytime I left to get more food. But I noticed no one came to check or asked if I needed a drink refill, after you sit, and they bring the drinks out to you the first time, I guess you have to be aggressive and find someone to ask if you need refills, which is sorta strange, but no big deal to me. I come to stuff myself with lots of food for cheap and don't really care about the drinks.

This buffet was not too shabby. They had a great selection of sushi and yes I know some people will not eat buffet sushi but this was great. The service was also very speedy. The place was clean overall. I am not sure how all the food tasted as I was watching what I was eating since I had to do a weight test the next day.

Food is okay. Service is abysmal as dishes are not cleared very quickly and staff does not ask if you need drink refills. Place also has a bit of a dirty feel to it. There are definitely better places to eat.

So I'm visiting from California to see my family and were sitting down having a conversation about my travels and our waitress walks up and demands us to pay in a nasty attitude?!?! Everything was fine before that. The food was alright. We left no tip and talked to the manager, who probably won't do anything. I would not suggest this restraunt to anyone!

Very good for a buffet. Good selection, the dumplings were excellent. Sushi selection was good also. Nice variety of fruits and desserts also. Staff was friendly.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
